ASBU Academy Concludes Its Training Activities for the Last Quarter of the Year and Prepares for the Upcoming Annual Programme 2026
During the last quarter of the year, the ASBU Academy for Media Training concluded a series of training activities reflecting its sustained dynamism and continued commitment to strengthening Arab media professionals’ capacities and keeping pace with the rapid transformations in the audiovisual sector.
During the period from October to December 2025, the Academy implemented 12 training courses and workshops, delivered both in person and online, covering a wide range of professional fields.

These activities covered all areas of professional audiovisual media practice, while keeping pace with major technological developments, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence, across a wide range of professional and technical domains. This period also saw the continued organization of on-demand training sessions for several member organizations, delivered in line with their specific needs and implemented in their respective countries, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of the training and its close alignment with the realities of media institutions.
This intensive training programme benefited 170 trainees representing 74 Arab media organizations.

In parallel, and as part of its preparations for the coming year, the Academy focused on designing a comprehensive training plan for the new year, based on a participatory methodology that takes into account the needs of member organizations and the requirements of professional development within the evolving digital media landscape. The main features of this plan were presented during the 13th meeting of the Academy’s Consultative Council, held in Tunis on 20 November 2025 which commended the Academy’s efforts and praised its role in advancing the quality and professionalism of the Arab media.

Through this strong performance, the Academy reaffirms its continued commitment to delivering high-quality training programmes and fostering innovation in training methodologies, thereby supporting the presence of Arab media within a dynamic and evolving professional and digital environment.
In its 2026 training plan, the Academy aims to further consolidate its position as a leading regional centre for Arab media training, through a strategic vision focused on the following key pillars:
- Enhancing the integrating of artificial intelligence and new media applications across all training levels, in line with rapid technological transformations and in support of strengthening trainees’ digital capabilities.
- Developing specialized training programmes that respond to current needs, particularly in relation to covering major transformations in the digital media landscape.
- Expanding international partnerships to facilitate the exchange of expertise and enhance the quality of training content in accordance with best international standards and practices.
At the conclusion of this rich cycle of activities during the last quarter of the year, the ASBU Media Training Academy reiterates its determination to maintain this upward momentum in the coming year, with the 2026 training programme to be announced shortly.
